300-Hour Therapeutic Yoga Instructor
The 300-hour therapeutic yoga instructor training program
provides advanced instruction in yogic practices and teaching
to prevent and alleviate pain and suffering at its origin.
Therapeutic yoga is designed to be taught one-on-one in order
to address the specific and unique conditions of the whole
student. The objective of therapeutic yoga
is to adjust the thinking and perception of the client and
clear energy blockages through breathing, movement, and quietness
to allow healing and ease of suffering. The program prepares
the graduate to become a recognized professional in the emerging
field of yoga therapy as it evolves into a mainstream healing
therapy. The graduate will be qualified to contribute yoga instruction
in a wide variety of complimentary wellness settings and populations.
The length of time for completion of the 300-hour advanced
therapeutic yoga instructor training program is twelve weekends,
(one weekend per month) of contact (lecture)
hours, plus one month for the research abstract presentation
and examination component.
Upon successful completion of the required 300-hours, the
student will be awarded a 300-hour
Therapeutic Yoga Instructor certificate of completion. The
student has the option of registering with Yoga Alliance for
certification and IAYT for membership at their own expense.
