Heidi McGall, owner of Divine School of Yoga Therapy and Powerhouse Yoga & Pilates Studio
worked in the corporate world as an engineer, software consultant, project manager, and corporate
trainer before deciding to open Powerhouse in 2009.
Misty Weaver is a teacher and lifelong learner who began practicing yoga in 2000. In September 2005, she
completed Living Yoga Program's 200-hour yoga-teacher training program under the mentorship of Donna
Belk. She has since had the privilege of working with many gifted teachers, including Judith Lasater, Doug
Keller, Rod Stryker, Karen O'Donnell Clarke, and Susi Hately Aldous. Misty earned her 500-hour
certification at Divine School of Yoga Therapy in 2009. She is now certified at the E-RYT 500 level with
Yoga Alliance and is a member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists. She is certified to teach
Adaptive Yoga and specializes in working with people who have neurological disorders. Misty is also a
Relax and Renew™ Restorative Yoga Trainer. She enjoys sharing her passion for yoga with people of all
ages and abilities.
Misty earned her BS in Interdisciplinary Studies from University of North Texas and has over 15 years
combined experience in education, ranging from teaching third grade to evaluating training programs for
Fortune 10 companies. Misty facilitates and presents a variety of topics in both the 200-hour and 300-hour
programs.
Tara Munro Pedersen holds certifications through YogaFit and SCW Education and has trained with numerous renowned yogis. Tara is certified at the E-RYT 500 and RYT 500 level with Yoga Alliance. She is certified to teach Adaptive Yoga to students with MS and is a member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists. Tara graduated from Baylor University with a BBA degree in Marketing and International Business with a minor in Spanish. Her compassionate, yet disciplined, teaching style is therapeutic and challenging as she emphasizes a cultivation of awareness within each pose she instructs. Tara facilitates and presents a variety of topics in both the 200-hour and 300-hour programs.
Kim Goad began practicing yoga in 1999. She began her training program in 2004 with YogaFit and completed her 200-hour Yoga Alliance certification in 2008. In 2009 she completed her 500-hour RYT with Yoga Island. Kim is a diverse teacher, enjoying Vinyasa to yin, as well as a daily meditation practice. She has enjoyed training under Eric Schiffmann, David Swenson, Sara Powers, David Romanelli, Shiva Rea, and many others. She received her E-RYT 200 in 2011.
Tami Valentine started her yoga journey in 1998 while looking a for a good way to workout. Little did she know she was going to embrace a journey of a lifetime. Tami enjoys guiding students to empty all their expectations of yoga and teaching them to experience what yoga can offer through pranayama, asanas and meditation. Tami was born and raised in Southern California. She has been teaching since 1999 and is a dedicated practitioner of yoga. Tami has developed a unique style of yoga that has been inspired by Prana Flow, Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Hatha and Restorative Yoga. She completed her 200-hour in 2009 with Tara Pedersen through ATI. She received her E-RYT 200 designation with Yoga Alliance in 2011. She is also obtaining her 800-hour Traditional Yoga Studies.
Fred Alsup began studying and practicing hatha yoga and meditation in 1973 and is a life long spiritual seeker. Fred has studied with a number of advanced meditation teachers including Swami Rama, Pandit Rajmani Tigunait, and Swami Veda Bharati. A self-employed consultant since 1992, Fred transforms organizations through management consulting and executive coaching including, coaching executives at Harvard’s Achieving Excellence Program. Fred has spoken at conferences in U.S. and Europe, is a certified master practitioner of neuro-linguistic programming and received a B.A. in Latin and a B.A. in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Austin.
